Yep - today was a pretty good day I think! :P First off I made it to Hebrew class. It was pretty fun - all 7 of us were there I think :) Geography was also ok. Molly is in my group now!! So this weekend should be pretty fun: Molly, Dan, Andrew, and myself chillin' downtown...sorta lol Work wasn't too shabby. I worked for almost 6 hours. My boss was pretty cool today actually! And tomorrow they're ordering pizza for everyone!!! CSF was the best obviously. It really helps me stay on track w/ my relationship w/ God too. I got to chill w/ my buds Amber and Angie for a while. That was tight. Jenni and Andrea (and the rest of the OK team) did a great job presenting (not lying!)!!  Jenni and I talked a lot too about my life and stuff...Lance and I talked for a while too...I have some great friends there! God is awesome. Also Ruth and I had our little talk...lol Please keep Michael and family in your prayers right now. God knows why. I guess I talk to myself a lot in the car becaus
oh yeah - just for the record...I know i'm being boastfull...but I'm still undefeated in fooz ball at my frat! Bring it on! I beat Goldie, Jollie, GRANT (sorry bud), and a couple others...I have yet to be challenged....lol Now that I said that I'll prolly lose the next game and once again be humbled to where I belong... :)
How long....how long must we sing this song? :) I can't get that song out of my HEAD! Maybe I should quit playing it while I'm typing this journal lol :) (smart Micah...smart)... Today was ok. I missed Hebrew...slept in a few minutes too much...so I chilled at my frat and talked w/ people about the party and stuff. Math was good. I got a problem back that I turned in - perfect! Geography was boring...but I talked to some of my friends there and we're chillin' this weekend on Sunday. Um work was ok. I worked 9 hours...long day but I just listened to music, talked to my friends there, and called a couple people to make time go by a little faster!! I know there was more to my day...oh at lunch I hung out at my frat more and talked about the party...that's been quite the topic lately! lol Liz called me tonight! That was nice to hear from her. She just wanted to see what I was up to and how school was going, etc. Friends like that are so awesome! I can't thank God en
crap - so this is posted at midnight again... Anyway Monday was a good day (aren't they always? lol)! I woke up almost too late - but I made it to school on time. I took a Hebrew quiz which I think I did ok in (like aced it)! I went to work afterwards which was alright. I did a lot of shipping out today. Scanning, stacking, and shipping. I had to get it all done today because it was the deadline. I noticed that I was sending a couple boxes to Sartell (to your school I think Ang)! So yeah work was good. I got my workout that's for sure. After work I went to Sammies for formal dinner. I hung out there, talked w/ my bros for a while, then went to AIM group at Cheri's house (Bible study). We made some amazing cookies and scones! nice eh?! I enjoyed catching up on things w/ my friends there and talking about our devotions this week. After AIM group I left (a little early) to go back to Sammies for our meeting. It went quite long. We had a lot to talk about...the party, etc...eve
And ironically enough these were the next songs I heard... 3. Never Say Die A song about relationships and not giving up on them when times are trying. Whispers in the wind carry messages to lovers far. Tales of lost romance and of that missed chance and fleeting hearts. Yesterday, befriends anger with words you say. Don't let those dying ships sail away. Promise me you'll never say die. Ashes in the sand bury witnesses to broken hearts. Scars of lone memories and of those crushed dreams and open arms. Love songs and tidal waves have washed me away.   10. These Are The Days A song about growing up and cherishing memories and learning from the experiences. The cold October air is blowing in my hair. And I'm losing everything I never thought I would. Where is that old playground. Where is that old sundown, when I would come home late an hour or two. These are the days when We will see all our yesterdays are memories. The tides will rise. The winds will turn. And We are drowni
I just ran a 5:03 mile...not the fastest in the world...but at midnight in jeans and my Sammies Sweatshirt...it's not too shabby... I just heard Kids in the Way from a friend who just emailed me. They are under Flicker Records like Pillar. Ironically the 1st song I heard was track 11... Your words are shallow and dull against my skin. Their cold bitter edge cuts deeper within. I don't appreciate the words you say behind my back, but it's OK. I'm not one for getting mad. I don't need apologies. I don't fall for sympathy. You can't win me back. This will be the last time I'm kissing you good-bye. You left me with a scar across my back. These stones are breaking my bones as They crush me. Your careless remarks left me here to bleed. I don't appreciate the games you play without regret but it's OK. I'm not one for getting mad. Your knife, my back yeah well it's not that ironic but i find it rather amusing!
I can’t believe the news today Oh, I can’t close my eyes and make it go away How long... How long must we sing this song? How long? how long... ’cause tonight...we can be as one Tonight... Broken bottles under children’s feet Bodies strewn across the dead end street But I won’t heed the battle call It puts my back up Puts my back up against the wall Sunday, bloody sunday Sunday, bloody sunday Sunday, bloody sunday (sunday bloody sunday...) (allright lets go!) And the battle’s just begun There’s many lost, but tell me who has won The trench is dug within our hearts And mothers, children, brothers, sisters torn apart Sunday, bloody sunday Sunday, bloody sunday How long... How long must we sing this song? How long? how long... ’cause tonight...we can be as one Tonight... Tonight... Sunday, bloody sunday (tonight) Tonight Sunday, bloody sunday (tonight) (come get some!) Wipe the tears from your eyes Wipe your tears away Wipe your tears away I wipe your tears away (sunday, bloody sunday) I
I just downloaded Sunday Bloody Sunday from Pillar (written by U2) at walmart.com for like 88 cents. Pillar played that song at their concert and I just couldn't get it out of my head. I've been talking to Kaila online (from NY) and she's helpin' out w/ the big concert on June 5th in NY w/ Pillar, Kids in the Way, and more!! I think I'm gonna go there for that. I was thinking of a road trip but it's like 19 hours, almost 1000 miles one way, and even though going alone is fun, flying alone is even more fun! Especially now that I have enough airmiles to get me 1st class to NY and back!! How tight is that?! Now I gotta put it all together...maybe I'll bring someone w/ me now that I think about it...it'll be summer by then!
yep - 1st time i've felt this way in a while...not mad but...wow...anyway...God help me not to like Amber...please...
all I can say is...crap :P but coming from me...that's harsh!  haha..and I'll tell u why too...but only subscribers can read it ;P hehe
Where do I start?! This weekend was pretty tight. First of all Friday was awesome. I went to school...blah blah, took a calc midterm (stunk), had fun in Hebrew watching a video of a guy in Israel taking hitchhikers to some place. They all swore in Hebrew at one time or another...lol and one of the guys was gay...it was pretty interesting. Geography was ok - we're starting a new project. I'm in a group w/ Dan Elo and Andrew. Work was good. I didn't say too late because I wanted to get to the concert early! I left and picked up Katie in Plymouth. We got to the club around 5ish. There was a girl just chillin' there so we weren't really 1st in line...but it was good enough! Also there was a guy named Eric that showed up shortly after. So we hung out together and chilled, waiting for the doors to open. Finally around 5:30 a nice line started to form. By the time they opened the doors there was a line around the block!! It was sweet! Noah came outside to say hi so that wa
Today was a pretty good day as well. The weather was nice for the most part. Hebrew went very well. We did a lot of fun activities today in that class. Math was stupid - I have a midterm tomorrow and I'm really nervous about it and I don't really need math anymore because I'm changing majors - and I can't drop it because I need the credits...so prayer would be nice in that area right now!! :) Geography was ok - nothing special. I got an A- on my freshman seminar paper - which was good. Work was also ok - I did a lot of fixing - fixing things that the temps messed up - it actually took me all 4.5 hours I was there to fix it all! lol but it was good - time went fast. CSF meeting was good tonight. There was a board meeting at the center as well so I saw Keith! Well - off to do homework...See Spot Rock tomorrow!!!! Micah (6:8)
Today was another very eventful day. I woke up, typed a 7 page paper for Geography (for some reason I'm kinda good at that), went to Geography, then sat through some Hebrew. I went to work and that was interesting. While I was sorting through the boxes and stuff I noticed that a lot of the temps were mixing materials in the same darn box. So I dumped out box after box in the middle of the warehouse floor, got some more boxes, and organized everything. Then I showed everyone how to do things right. I was practically doing my boss's job, but I'm not complaining :) I enjoyed it thouroughly!! The weather was beautiful today. I saw it get around 65 degrees F. That was nice! CSF was good too. The music was awesome, the message was on friendship, and for my community group we went to a park, hung out, and talked about spring break! It was a good day. I also hope my friends from IA can make it still for this weekend! That would be tight. See Spot Rock is this Friday too! I'll p
I know it's been a few days since I've written on my journal - but I thought I would wait and let my previous entry get read more :) It sure is long isn't it?! Well I've had a good weekend. Yes I got home safely. It was a great trip. Saturday night I hung out w/ Jake and watched a soccer game. They were pretty good but lost in the end. I think Jake should coach a team someday...wait what am I saying?! He already does :P After the game Jake, Sarah, and I hung out at Dennys for a while. That was fun. The following day was Sunday and I got to see Karl. It was nice to catch up on things during college group. It was also Disciple Now for the service that day. I loved the music and everything about it. I wish they would do that more. I also got a chance to chat w/ my buddy Rachel from IL online. That was fun. Oh I also went to Ashley's house for maybe an hour to see how their family was doing. Nothing super new - but her dad makes a heck of a cook! Those chicken wings wer
Alrighty – well I’m still sitting in the Delta Airlines Club in Miami waiting to board the plane in about an hour. Al suggested that I stick my journal online while I have some free time. That way it’s one less thing to think about when I get home I guess. Thanks Al! (He’s actually sleeping now)!! Anyway – without further adieu here’s my journal (oh and I arranged it "xanga style" with the latest entry on top – so the 1 st day would…obviously…be on the bottom) J March 20, 2004 – Saturday Today is last day – it’s not even that…it’s like half a day. We got up super early, I washed my hair and then we all went up to eat breakfast. Everything happened so fast. Before I knew it I was out of the boat and in a taxi going to the airport. The customs were a breeze. At the airport I ran into Stephanie again. I talked to her for a little bit and gave her my email. After finding our gate, Mr. J. found the Delta Airlines club and we went inside to wait for our plane – which will be in a
It was another fun and exciting day! (when isn't it?! lol)! :P School was pretty good. Hebrew was fun and interesting. I learned some new stuff there. Math...yeah...well I saw Andrea on my way there! That rocked!! Geography was good. We had our big debate again today. It went very well. Not to be biased or anything but our section did the best job and had a great argument. I'm glad I agree with our position as well. I had my bike today so I zipped from place to place a lot faster than before. I biked across the bridge today...under a minute. That sure beats walking the dang thing in over 5 minutes. It was cold and windy though...funny thing...my bike kept moving to the side while I was peddling hard...wind? lol I went to Coffman to finish typing up my paper for my next class. The girl next to me in the computer lab gave a weird look when she saw me take my keys out, and plug the USB flash drive into the computer that's on my keychain. I don't think she knew what that wa
Oh Happy Day! The weather was absolutely beautiful today! I enjoyed walking to classes with the wind blowing, the sun shining, the fresh air...:P Hebrew was really fun! We played a game which was very time consuming...but fun! I even got Renana (my teacher) to laugh! lol Geography was also pretty good. We talked about our rebuttal for tomorrow's lecture. We're pretty prepared I think. I picked up my bike after school...I got the chains replaced and the gears, etc...it cost me like 50 BUX! Nuts...oh well. It feels good to have my bike back. I biked over to my frat where Luke and Jolly were chillin' on the poarch. I almost wiped out on the driveway lol...way to boost my ego :P Work was good - nothing too exciting but it was good. I turned on KTIS as soon as 1st shift left...and you could tell that the 2nd shift people near me were a little uncomfortable listening to KTIS lol :P But it was neat - cause they didn't change the station 'till I left! How cool is that?! I n
Cheri just emailed me the recipe for the bread we made last night! I'm happy :P Today was great! I went to Hebrew...learned new things (and also got confused a lot) like everyday, then I went to math and turned in the calc problem that was assigned last Thursday! Thanks to my CSF friends for helping me with it! You guys rock :) OH!!! When I was leaving math - I ran into Natalie Benz!!!! How cool is that?! She even remembered me too! That was fun-so I hope we can hang otu sometime and catch up! :) Then I went to Geography for the beginning of the Israel/Palestine debate. My section is pro Israel. Our 2 presenters did a great job - being straight to the point...really harsh...it was so funny! I couldn't stop laughing the whole time because of how blunt and harsh they were! but thumbs up! Work was good - I did a lot of sorting and stuff. I got to even play KTIS on the radio...'till someone got sick of it and changed it...I walk away for 5 seconds....and it's on 101.3...sad
Yeah - Monday was pretty good. I went to Hebrew, took a midterm...did ok I guess...I hate translating...oh well. I think I did ok...I hope I did...PLEASE TELL ME HOW I DID!!!!! haha ok enough of that. I dressed up on Monday too so I got a lot of comments at school and work (I think my boss was scared I was gonna take over - lol jk)!! After work I went to my frat for dinner and the meeting - the meeting was sooooooo boring..i'm sorry but it was. It reminds me of highschool crap (sorry I said that) and like...immature little siblings fighting...grow up! Joe and Tommy...and Andy...since you're all prolly reading this - hehe...you guys don't count :) I guess there are a few guys which just make meetings drag on because of obnoxious immaturity (which I thought that by living there next year I would be escaping some of that - but I like living at home still right now)...anyway Anyway - after meeting - I left quick to go to Cheri Burkum's house (yes - Tyler Burkum's from A
Wow I'm getting behind for once! Not cool!!!! Ok Friday was an amazing day! Hebrew was good; Geography was awesome! I got my paper back w/ 5/5 on it!!! It said "great paper" "interesting point" on it! lol :P Yeah I'm happy. I also got the paper back that I helped type in my group of 3 (or lack of "group") and got a 14/15 on it - and most people didn't get that!! lol And I wrote it that morning :P How cool huh?! So yeah - work was ok. I didn't get my check 'till I was almost ready to leave though. My boss told me that he didn't even have my check (don't like that - I work so hard for him...) so I went to the guy over my boss and got it :P Then I met my cousin Dan Nystrom (yes the amazing former Gopher Football kicker) at HOM in Roseville and gave him his check (he works there too) and then I went to Jenni and Andrea's appartment for dinner w/ the gray group (and other people too)! Then we all went to see the Passion at Block

Super Day On Thursday!! Well it's past midnight again - so even though it's posted "Friday" it's not Friday to me :P So Thursday...traffic was good - even though Metro Transit Buses are on strike. So praise God for good traffic. I even got to Hebrew class on time! I even did my homework! lol We'll skip math - Geography!....so last week we got in groups of about 4 (over 100 people I would say in the class) and we got an overhead of the US, and had to make borders, icons, etc. on it to show something (e.g. population, etc.). So we did it on urban vs. "big city" vs. suburban areas. So today we looked at those overheads in class. The prof said he was gonna start by showing the "original ones" and working his way to more abstract and unique ones. We got a lot of laughs out of some of those (some were hilarious) but it turns out that my group was the last overhead to be shown. The prof said something to the fact that - in the past 20 years I'
I woke up today (thank goodness) to Al calling me on my cell phone. I was supposed to pick him up at 7:30 but when he called me at 7:32, and since I didn't have class 'till 9 (he didn't 'till 10ish)...and since I had to write a paper still...I picked him up around 8:15. So I had 45 min. to write a paper for Geography - which I gave a presentation on today (on the Old Jerusalem). It was a paper that my group of 3 was supposed to write - well Rita helped...and the Jew on my team - was at a bar late last night so I did most of the work...oh well :P Um - work was pretty relaxing! No temps (not much work presently), no Lawrence (he's the boss - good guy...but still...he wasn't there...), so it was a time to just relax, listen to KTIS for once, and do some work. I enjoyed it. After work I went over to CSF. I crashed on the couch and I seriously fell asleep in a matter of seconds. I woke up half an hour later to the sound of Jonathan getting ready to load stuff into ca
Yeah! I almost slept in today (ok I was 10 minutes late for Hebrew...no biggie) lol Calc was ok. I didn't do as well as I would have liked on my midterm - but I think they drop the lowest one...:P On my way to calc though I ran into Al! that rocked! then to make things better - Andrea walked by too!! So two friends at the same time! How cool is that?! Work was pretty good. I shot rubber bands for about an hour then header off to Plymouth at a warehouse that DRC is leasing for a few months to run a big project. Four other guys (and myself) made boxes there - we were the only ones there in this HUGE building. I left early (didn't stay 'till midnight) so I could finish a paper. Now Madison is online so I'm gonna get going. God bless! Micah - Micah 6:8
Today was pretty cool. I aced my Hebrew quiz, went to work for like 6 hours (fun), then went home to run some errands for my mom and brother, then did a TON of homework. Tonight I got to talk to a lot of cool friends online for a while. Amber was on too - it's been ages since we talked!! Alright this is a boring entry. Hey I found out that my new printer/scanner is also a copy machine! How cool is that!!!!!!! God bless, Micah (6:8)
