I know it's been a few days since I've written on my journal - but I thought I would wait and let my previous entry get read more :) It sure is long isn't it?!


Well I've had a good weekend. Yes I got home safely. It was a great trip. Saturday night I hung out w/ Jake and watched a soccer game. They were pretty good but lost in the end. I think Jake should coach a team someday...wait what am I saying?! He already does :P After the game Jake, Sarah, and I hung out at Dennys for a while. That was fun.


The following day was Sunday and I got to see Karl. It was nice to catch up on things during college group. It was also Disciple Now for the service that day. I loved the music and everything about it. I wish they would do that more. I also got a chance to chat w/ my buddy Rachel from IL online. That was fun. Oh I also went to Ashley's house for maybe an hour to see how their family was doing. Nothing super new - but her dad makes a heck of a cook! Those chicken wings were awesome!!


Monday was good as well. I've been staying busy that's for sure. I went to Hebrew, then work, then I had a frat meeting. After that was AIM group at Cheri Burkum's house - where we made banana bread. Jenni, Amanda, Rachel, Gina, and I were there. It was a good night.


I found out that Amber and Jessi might be coming up for the weekend. That would be fun. We'll see how that goes...


Today was long. I went to school, then worked for TEN hours!! Oh man it was long. I did a lot of physical stuff today - lots of box lifting and sorting. It was good for me though :) I met Shawn the janitor too...I don't know how often anyone interacts with him since he starts so late at night. So that was cool as well. Also I got to chat w/ Ashley for a while at work too. She's a pretty cool friend. I hope we can hang out sometime (outside of work that is). Well - there's your 2 lines Ash ;)


The See Spot Rock Tour is coming up on Friday (w/ Pillar). Pray that everything goes well and that God's name is glorified above all else. Pray for the UG as well.


Now I have homework to do...I hope I get it all done tonight! God bless and goodnight!

I know it’s been since around Thanksgiving since I last posted on here. I wish I had a better excuse for not formulating a better journal since then, except to say that I’ve been spending more time just enjoying life rather than writing it all back down again! I know I need to do some updating - but here's the most important thing going on in my life right now (besides Jesus lol): So my brother Jake has open heart surgery this morning at 7:30am, July 7th at Mercy Hospital. I'm just asking that whoever reads this to pass it on and keep him in your prayers. For those of you who know, Jake is my bro (obviously), he's 16, and suffered a stroke a while back at the Excel Center downtown St. Paul, where my dad was called (he ran from his work in St. Paul to the Center and met the ambulance...woah) and my bro was rushed to the Children's Hospital. Because he was in St. Paul at the time, and because he went to this particular hospital, they were able to determine right away that he had a blood clot in his brain, and they were able to have the right equipment to fix this as soon as possible. Because of this, Jacob suffered no brain damage (which was all God). So the Lord really had a hand of protection on my little bro. Later on the do...

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! You know – I feel like most of us in this country really take this holiday for granted, regardless of how much promotion it’s given and regardless of how much knowledge we have of our historical past. What we need to remember is that we came to this country to escape persecution and to worship G-d (aka Jesus Christ) in a way that contradicted the teachings of the king of England. Because of this we left and came to the New World, where we fought the Indians (making both wise and foolish decisions) and eventually came to be the great country that we are now. We are truly blessed…thinking of all the other countries that don’t have the same privileges that we do. Praise G-d for His everlasting love and His hand of protection upon this country still.
