Super Day On Thursday!!
Well it's past midnight again - so even though it's posted "Friday" it's not Friday to me :P
So Thursday...traffic was good - even though Metro Transit Buses are on strike. So praise God for good traffic. I even got to Hebrew class on time! I even did my homework! lol
We'll skip math -
Geography!....so last week we got in groups of about 4 (over 100 people I would say in the class) and we got an overhead of the US, and had to make borders, icons, etc. on it to show something (e.g. population, etc.). So we did it on urban vs. "big city" vs. suburban areas. So today we looked at those overheads in class. The prof said he was gonna start by showing the "original ones" and working his way to more abstract and unique ones. We got a lot of laughs out of some of those (some were hilarious) but it turns out that my group was the last overhead to be shown. The prof said something to the fact that - in the past 20 years I've taught here - this is like the most interesting (or unique or abstract) overhead yet. To be honest it really wasn't that great - but hey! It got attention :P and our names were on it...not that it matters...the artistic nature just wasn't there - but we drew a cow (that looked like a dog) and wrote "moo" under it...I suppose that was "cool" haha
I had lunch with Sandy today! That was sweet. I haven't seen her in ages!! We talked a lot and caught up on things - then she told me a lot about the study abroad programs - I would really like to go to Israel for that now...so I'm gonna look into it for maybe something my jr. year I'm thinking...
ok - Freshman Seminar on Gadgets...we had to write a paper on an invention that we would like to see made in the near future. He talked about all the papers today (all 7)...but he spend like 30 min. talking about mine...for some odd reason...the topic was interesting - but since he liked it so much - and since it hasn't been patented yet - I guess I won't tell u what it was :P so imagine! ;)
next - work...it was pretty relaxing again. I worked a little over 4 hours. It was my short day at work.
After work I went to CSF for my leader's meeting. I got there early so I took about an hour nap in the basement. I guess I spent most of that time praying but it was relaxing. The meeting went well too. Afterwards a few of us stayed and looked at old songs in the "song binder." The purpose was to pick out some songs that we haven't done in a while to sing this week. Well it was fun 'cause we sang a lot of them while looking at all the songs - there are so many cool songs out there that reflect God's majesty and glory and power, and so many other things! wow!!
I got home late (after midnight - which is now sorta) and I got my swiss army luggage in the mail! It is very super cool!! ok - here's a pic - but it doesn't do justice to it :P
So yeah - I got it on ebay for a fraction of the cost (seriously)!
Alrighty well I think it's time to hit the sack but - oh yeah! Tomorrow night I'll be seeing the Passion w/ my friends and community group from CSF...and...Andy Houston is coming!!! (he's my big brother from my fraternity Sigma Alpha Mu!) Yeah that'll be cool. He's a neat guy and a good friend. It'll be interesting to see what he thinks of the movie.
yeah - time for bed now. God bless!
